January 13, 2026

Kuala Lumpur, 13 January 2026 – Amanah Raya Berhad (AmanahRaya) and Malaysia Law Institution (MLI) today kicked-off the upcoming Joint Global Business Conference 2026 (JGBC 2026) a two-day regional conference scheduled to be held on 19 and 20 July 2026 in Kuala Lumpur.

Themed ‘Blueprints for the Future: An Estate Planning Symposium’, JGBC 2026 serves as a regional engagement platform that brings together legal practitioners, trustees, financial professionals and business leaders for cross-disciplinary dialogue on legacy planning and wealth preservation. JGBC 2026 is organized by the MLI in collaboration with AmanahRaya, with the shared objective of strengthening professional engagement and advancing regional discourse on legacy planning.

Speaking at the launch, Jack Yap Ngee Heong, Group Chief Business & Operating Officer of AmanahRaya, said the conference reflects AmanahRaya’s responsibility as Malaysia’s only public trustee to contribute meaningfully to national and regional conversations on legacy planning.

He said, “Legacy planning plays a critical role in long-term financial planning, particularly as family, business and asset structures become more complex. As Malaysia’s only Public Trustee, AmanahRaya sees it as part of our responsibility to help elevate awareness and understanding of legacy planning as an essential consideration for every Malaysian”.

“Platforms such as JGBC 2026 support this objective by enabling cross-disciplinary dialogue that strengthens legacy management practices and promotes well-governed, forward-looking approaches. Ultimately, this forms part of our commitment to building long-term trust in the provision of legacy planning services for the public”, he further added.

JGBC 2026 will feature speakers from Malaysia and the region, addressing key themes such as legacy planning, wealth preservation, intergenerational legacy structuring and asset protection. The conference aims to facilitate knowledge exchange across legal, financial and business disciplines, reflecting the growing importance of robust and well-governed legacy planning frameworks.

JGBC 2026 will be held at the Banquet Hall, Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, on 19 and 20 July from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on both days. For more information on the Joint Global Business Conference 2026, visit conference.mlawinstitute.com.
